About our Brand
The name Lumete ('lou-met') is derived from amulet, which means a precious object used for protection and luck, and lumen, meaning light.
Lumete's sunglasses are handmade zyl acetate, and the lenses are hard coated CR39. Each pair comes with two case options: our signature hard clutch and our soft pouch case. Lumete sunglasses are made in the USA with imported materials. Please visit About our Products for more details.
Lumete was established in 2009 by Clara Herrera (Designer, Creative Director) and Barbara Warren (CEO). Lumete sunglasses are available at fine boutiques and here on lumete.com.
