Lumete is proud to be in the April issue of GLAMOUR magazine (on newsstands now) “Give Us Some Prints Please!” pg 206 featuring our beautiful “Lilac Water” Vedrinas.

Brought together by our mutual muse, Peggy Guggenheim, and her trailblazing, whimsical style, Lumete was thrilled to collaborate with Tia Cibani for her F/W 2013 presentation during NYFW. Tia’s superb collection, influenced by the shadow and light in Man Ray’s 1920’s surreal photographs, features a luxurious palette of black, grays, navy and metallics that were beautifully complemented by our sunglasses.  We also loved the dream-like paper installation by Kirsten Hassenfeld, from which the models emerged. Congratulations, Tia, on another amazing collection!

Sapientia was inspired by the II card of the Tarot of Marseille, La Papesse and the gnostic Sophia. It symbolizes wisdom, gestation, mystical vision and patience.

With its graceful front and and ultra-comfortable serpentine temples, the Vedrina is a sleek and modern style, presenting an alluring play of sinuous curves and supple colors. Vedrina represents serenity as a state arising from silent contemplation.

A chiseled, cat-eye rectangular front is complemented by striking oblique sculptural temples in Templanza’s dramatic and daring design. Templanza was inspired by the XIIII card of the Tarot of Marseille, Temperance. It symbolizes harmony, moderation and the synthesis of opposites.
